If you have not used the device before or there are updates the car brands software will need to download on the new device. The Thinkdiag device can only be binded to one email address so you will have to use the same email address on all devices.

Q: Does THINKDIAG use my car's Bluetooth?
A: No it does not, It has it's own built in bluetooth moduel and is completly independent from the vehicles bluetooth. The Device connects to your phone's bluetooth and not your cars bluetooth. The vehicle connects to the thinkdiag via the OBD2 port on the vehicle.our Bluetooth module has been thoroughly tested to ensure that it does not interfere with other Bluetooth devices.

Q: Do I need to pay extra to use THINKDIAG?
A: Every Thinkdiag comes with one free software for one year for free or all software for 2 years if you purchased the pro version. After your subscription ends or if you have the one free brand version and wan't more brands you will need to pay for this in the app.

Q: What is a All Brand Software subscription?
A: The Thinkdiag pro comes will an all brand full software software subscription this means that you get every available car brand software and maintenance software that is in the app for 2 years so there will be no need to purchase any additional subscriptions for 24 months.

Q: What is a Manufacturer Software subscription?
A: Each manufacturer software subscription gives you access to ALL diagnostic functions, including read/clear codes, live data streaming, actuation tests, and ALL maintenance functions of the manufacturer you picked if they are supported by your vehicle. To access the maintenance functions for the vehicle brand you have selected you do this via the All System Diagnostic Menu and not the separate maintenance functions. To do this once you have gone onto the All System Diagnostic Menu you then have to select the correct car module and the special functions supported by the vehcile are included there. If you have the Thinkdiag Pro with Full Software we also reccomend that you access the special functions through the All Sytem Menu however with the pro you will also have access to the seperate reset software also as the Pro includes the full software for 2 years.

Q: What is a Maintenance Software subscription?
A: If you have the vehicle brand you already have access to all the special functions for that vehicle brand via the full function’s menu. The maintenance software subscription is for people who need to use the maintenance functions for multiple car manufacturers. With a maintenance software subscription, you are able to perform that maintenance function on any supported vehicle brand.

Q: Do I need to pay for OBD II functions?
A: No. All OBD II generic functions come FREE.

Q: Does Thinkdiag work with diesel trucks?
A: Yes. Only for light duty it will not work on heavy duty trucks.

Q: Which vehicle can ThinkDiag diagnose?
A: ThinkDiag supports many vehicle manufactures, diagnoses more than 110 vehicle brands. The diagnostics software are available in ThinkStore in the App.

Note: The sizes of different manufactures’ diagnostics software are different. Some software are large which requires a good network environment to download.
