>> What happens if I don't program a new ECU after installing it on my car?

1. Answer: Nothing will happen, because the system doesn't know how to react, since the PROM that governs the circuits of ECU “what to do” is blank.
2. It cannot command the injectors to open or the coil(s) to fire. It cannot command the fuel pump to send fuel. It cannot read the external temperature, or even the temperature of the coolant, because there are no instructions defining what is hooked to the ECU, and there is no information to tell the system when to open the injectors, or for how long.

How to Use SmartLink C as J2534 Passthru?

Smart Link C Box
Smartlink C is a new generation intelligent diagnostic box with Linux system independently developed by Launch, which supports multiple communication modes (USB, BT, WIFI) and multiple diagnostic protocols. It can be used alone as a remote diagnosis box for SmartLink remote diagnosis, or as a pass-thru tool to connect with OEM software.

Connect the Smartlink C to your vehicle’s DLC port with/without the included extended OBDII cable.
